Procrastination is only another Pause

Procrastination, it leaves you hanging,

it renders you frozen,

Procrastination sucks away your energy to commit

to seeing something finished, done, complete.

.

But looking at procratstination through the eyes of our inner four year old,

takes on a purer calling — that child does not say that he’s going to dread, hate, despise

something… he doesn’t know what that involves yet.

Your Inner Four Year Old Says:

You’re Just Not Doing It, whatever that “it” may be.

.

As adults, we need to reconnect with that inner chld, who is sometimes

Fearless, Brave and at times, Cocky about their Strengths.

Instead, we tell ourselves that we can’t do something…

and chances are, we won’t.

.

The four year old wouldn’t think this way.
He would say , “Let me try for five minutes”.

.

When the adult tries for five minutes, he will notice that the muscles

in his jaw and forehead relax a little more, he becomes more mentally focused on that one thing… and

those voices telling you that you can’t,

stop chattering

when they see you are IN THE MOMENT of actually DOING!

.

This takes practice; however, you aren’t going to have a smooth sailing of time

when you begin.

Tell yourself this.

Let yourself know that it’s okay not to get right into it…

Give yourself Permission to be bad at it,

and you will become more accepting of your human-ness,

the more you give it a shot and TRY.

.

The more you do this, the more it begins to feel normal to do it.

And the more you do it,

the more likely you are to get to a place where things begin to fit,

and make sense.

.

Just my writing this out, lets my unconscious know that I CAN TAKE SMALL STEPS

to get into doing what I’d like to be doing.

Just by me writing this out, shows me how effective a tool, SMALL STEPS is and actually works.

.

Procrastination,

it leaves you hanging,

it renders you frozen –

Procrastination sucks away your energy to commit

to seeing something finished, done, complete, IN THE LEAST,

IT LET’S YOU SEE THAT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR WAYS AND MAKE ROOM FOR THIS NEW WAY.

IT BECOMES YOUR NEW HABIT — TO TRY, FOR FIVE MINUTES AND SUCCEED AT IT!

.
