The Date

“You look like someone who has lunched poorly and who has no expectations for dinner.  Sit, take your shoes off, I have something sufficient, it’s an engaging liquid which staggers around the dimensional goblet,  trimolecular and unobtrusive.”

She said, in less obnoxious words than usual, “The expanse of your intelligence is a void no universe could ever fill, so why shouldn’t I take offense to your offerings, and your incidental poisons?”

The angstrous, begriming pod of a man looked at her sullen eyes and starving flesh and wondered why, himself.

She then summized that she cannot compare with the tarnished sheen left in his path of combustion, left the room and a note by the telephone, then walked out the door.

His extensive overawe was left questioning how such a potential could exit?  Then he picked up the note,

He thought he drank too much, but as luck would have it, the note appeared correct as he was admiring his image in the hall mirror…

I am offset and beguiled, did I mention, also unintimidated, you sad fool!

He didn’t get what that meant, then went out to get more potential, since his date wasn’t very pretty.
