This Hallowed Eve’s Eve

We drove in silence.

And in the next frame, I saw his

footprints of salt and road tar,

left behind on the sheets.

.

I sit in the hospital waiting room

awaiting the doctor to appear,

as I eat a cold burger from a brown paper bag,

I think that this is just another prank on this

Hallowed Eve’s eve and I need to get back

to the market

to buy candy for tomorrow.
