untethered lines

untethered lines

escape boundary’s field of embrace and empathetic grasp

long before awareness strikes

loss and longing

hang heaviest before you see the yellow tape

and yield or fold

sometimes poems speak louder than the poet ever intended,

sometimes they exist as entities without merit or finality,

and sometimes

the poet bows to the disconnect, for it has the gumption to talk

while he waits for inspiration to speak, be heard

and make sense of it

  3. Wise decision, provided they might read.:P
