The Marlboro Man,
on the way to a shoot,
in the hills of his boyhood home
He finds that some things haven’t changed, like the gas-station pumps,
they still resemble 50’s Space Rockets
and the Yoohoo Pop Machine still reads, “5 cents” a bottle.
He travels with his child-actor pal,
and the cameraman who took this picture, is from TV Guide.
Today is the final shoot,
a PSA for Tobacco.
I’ve since, seen the print ad.
They really pulled on my heartstrings with this one…
the scene implies they are poor,
but I don’t think that America will shed an empathetic tear for in this spot,
Marlboro Man tells us that he’s now
out of work
because America listened to themselves
